Free Health Checks at the APES Pet Care Clinic
Pop in to the APES Pet Care Clinic for free head‑to‑tail health checks for dogs, cats, reptiles and small animals—friendly welfare advice included. Walk‑ins welcome; pre‑register to help us minimise wait times.
From dogs and cats to reptiles and small animals, our team is offering free check‑ups to help you keep your companions happy and healthy.
Pop in to the APES Pet Care Clinic for a free head‑to‑tail health check. Our friendly, trained staff will assess your animal’s general condition, offer practical welfare advice, and let you know if a visit to a veterinary practice is recommended. It’s quick, it’s free, and it helps catch small issues early.
Why it matters
Preventive health checks are one of the simplest ways to protect animal welfare. A short, calm examination can flag common problems—like weight changes, skin or scale irritation, overgrown nails, mites, or husbandry issues—before they become urgent. That’s good for animals, good for owners, and good for the community.
What APES is doing
APES operates a community Pet Care Clinic that supports all kinds of pets, including exotics. We specialise in first‑aid and routine care and can advise when veterinary treatment is needed. Please note: the clinic is not a veterinary practice and we do not perform invasive procedures.
What to expect on the day:
- A free 1:1 check‑up for dogs, cats, small animals and reptiles.
- Friendly advice on diet, housing, enrichment and routine care.
- Signposting or referral to a veterinary practice if needed.
- Optional low‑cost add‑ons (e.g., nail clips) may be available separately.
